Becoming A ChristianAbout Jesus:Jesus is the Son of God. He came to this world, from Heaven to bridge a gap between us and God. This gap was created by our sins. It is a gap we can never close by ourselves. Only by accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, can we turn from our sins and return to God. Here is the road to follow...Understand that you are loved!"For God so loved the world He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16) Recognize ALL people fall short."For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. " (Romans 3:23) But there is hope!"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) Respond by turning from sin."Repent then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out." (Acts 3:19) Place your faith in Christ as Savior and Lord."That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord', and believe in your heart that God reaised Him from the dead, you will be saved. . . it is with your heart that you believe. . . and it is with your mouth that you confess. . . for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved." (Romans 10:9-13) Pray for salvation (something like this. . .)"Lord Jesus, I confess to You that I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sin and I ask You to forgive me and to save me from my sin right now. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. Help me as I begin my new life."
